Dear Brothers and Sisters,
This work is a product of the "Qur'an Circle" meetings, which date back twenty years. Our "Exegesis of the Holy Qur'an" study, presented to you, consists of excerpts from various commentaries, the list of which is provided in the references section.
This study is comprised of excerpts from various commentaries, and we have taken great care not to delve into excessive detail. Undoubtedly, the tafsirs we have utilized have—within their own methodologies—interpreted the verses in the best possible way. However, by comparing these sources, we have strived to select excerpts from the one that explains the subject most clearly.
While compiling these excerpts, we focused on the interpretations (tafsir) provided rather than the individual authors themselves. We preferred to include impactful expressions that are easy to remember. Regarding the Translation (Ma'al), we have directly adapted the translations from the tafsir of Prof. Dr. Ismail KARAGOZ and the "Feyz’ul Furkan" translation by Dr. Hasan Tahsin FEYIZLI along with their explanatory notes. We have created a separate link for the translation footnotes. For the subject headings, we have largely drawn from the Ruh’ul Beyan commentary.
As you can see on the sidebar of our website, we have provided several links that we believe will be beneficial. The first is the "Index" which we adapted from "Feyz’ul Furkan" and expanded within the scope of our tafsir. Another link is "Commandments and Prohibitions." This section, which will gradually expand, aims to help us keep the commands and prohibitions of our Supreme Lord constantly in mind and, if possible, to memorize them—at least in part. Insha’Allah, more links will be added in the future.
Our hope is that the "Divine Message" spreads throughout the entire world and that everyone with internet access can benefit from it. Please announce and recommend this to your acquaintances. Let the "Blessed Qur’an" be our main topic of conversation in our gatherings and visits with friends. I look forward to your views, suggestions, and critiques.
I would like to state that we have no worldly expectations from this humble work; our only intention is to seek the pleasure of Allah. I ask for your prayers (duas). We wish a blessed and fruitful life for all those who contributed to the preparation of the sources from the authors to the office staff and editors—and pray for a "good ending" (husn-i hatima) for those still living. For those who have passed away, I pray to Allah that we may be together in the "Gardens of Firdaus" (Jannat al-Firdaus), including all those who benefit from tefsirim.com.
I owe a debt of gratitude to all our brothers and sisters who contributed to this work, "A brief Exegesis of the Holy Qur’an" May Allah Almighty grant us the ability to complete this work. Amen. 11 Shawwal 1435 / August 8, 2014
